Install the Danko/MoPower Chin Spoiler

So we started the install of the Danko/MoPower Chin Spoiler today, before the weather gets cold ......again. Tough living in Florida......LOL

We wanted to test fit the chin spoiler before we painted it, am going to paint it to match the body color (Magnesium Pearl). Already had the paint left over from the shaker install.

First we removed the front splash shield, so as to have room for the drilling and bolts.

Here's my son bolting up the chin spoiler.

Hope to have it painted by tonight and have it mounted in a few days.

Seems simple to do, having 2 guys makes it easier.

Finish photos to come.

Which spoiler did you get, regular or one of the shaved ones?
So how much lower is the front now than without the spoiler?

looks like the "unshaved" version ---- I don't know about anyone else but mine isn't really any lower just sticks out more, I've only scraped it once and that was on a major dip coming out of a parking lot

That's gonna be sweet. Great addition to the shaker. It's gonna look even meaner now.

Yeah, it doesn't add to being any lower, just as MadDad says, it sticks outward more than downward.
Soon you get to be able to judge the scraping issue.
The biggest change will be how you approach driveways and dips now.
You have to come at them at almost a 45 deg angle now (especially if you are running on lowered suspension).

Hey just my two cents on this, why dont you paint it black? offset the colour a little.

P.S I got that same power washer :P

Well, it is painted, it came out great. Going to let it dry a few days before we do the install.

We painted it body color because we had extra paint left over from doing the shaker. I don't think it would look good in Bright Silver Metallic, so that is out.

Might look good in black, but we didn't have any black paint laying around.

So Magnesium Pearl it will have to be.

Now to figure out a way to still be able to use my car bra when the love bugs come out in the spring................LOL

Side note: for those of you wondering, there are 9 bolts that hold the chin spoiler on.
