I appologize ahead of time. I feel like I should be able to figure this out from other threads but I dont want to screw something up...
I am going to wire my new HID's into an eBay special projector headlight. The bulbs for the projector are H1s so that may look off, but it is the correct bulb. No diagram was given on how to install these so I could use some direction before I dive in. Anyone do a write-up that I am just not finding? Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks again and again, JB |

H1 is for Hi-beams, low beam is same as stock (9006), on mine anyway.
HID flickering fix. |

It really depends on what brand of HID's you have. They don't all connect the same way but they operate on the same principal: Stock headlight plug from car connects to anti-flicker capacitor which then connects to digital ballast which then connects to HID bulb. It also depends on which set of projectors you have. Some have H1 low beams and some have 9006 low beams.

I have H1 low beams, I know that for sure. But I did not get an anti=flciker relay with my kit.
Where can I get one? What excatly do I need? I would love to pick one up today at a place today, not something online and then wait for shipping... any ideas? Thanks for the help thus far... |

For the 3 sets I have, I only run two different types of relay/capacitor combos. One from AACstyle and one from Stealth Auto..............not sure where you can pick any up in town but I'm sure you can.
BTW: I have two "just in case capacitors" coming in soon from out of town. If you don't find what you need, PM me and we'll figure it out. They retail for $20 a piece, but maybe I could just re-gift 'em to you? ![]() |

Any idea of where I should look? Would a RedRooster/Checker have them? Or should I try a Radioshack? |

Radioshack has the capacitor used in the AAC Oracle kit but the relay comes from BMW.
Stealth Auto uses a bigger capacitor but instead of a relay, they are connected via waterproof plugs. Not sure where to find a relay. My suggestion is to call some of the customs shops around town. i.e. SubZero sounds, Bass Zone, Automotive Concepts, etc. You may wanna also contact Justin at AAC: 1 (800) 407-5776 or call Stealth Auto: 888-978-3258 |
