Wheel questions: Offset
Hi all,
I've got many questions regarding the proper offset for RT RWD. I see on the other site that we are good from about +12mm to the standard 25 mm for the stock wheels. Say I wanted to stay with 18" wheels, and use 255/55R18 tires, what should I be looking for? What will cause problems? Thanks! |

Here's a site that'll give you all the measurements: Custom wheels, chrome wheels, alloy rims - BIGCUSTOMWHEELS

Groovy, so let me get this right.....
Negative Offset means the center post is actually recessed into the wheel further, but this actually makes the tire stick out of the well more..... Is that right? (This is why I ususally stick to HP mods......) |

i think it should be between 12mm to 20mm offset or +12 to +20
just an FYI the more the offset the more the center of the rim is to the outside if you go to much it will be rubbing on the suspension if you go to much the other way the wheel will be sticking out to much and crush your fenders Last edited by Bigal470; 01-23-2008 at 06:17 PM.. |

I have the Foose Nitrous 22's with a 12.5 mm offset with the Pro-kit and have no rubbing issues. 10-25 mm offset is what I have read for a RWD Mag. I think I'd stay away from a 35 mm offset.
