Rear Hatch Opening Release by Remote

My stereo guy wired my AUX output on my Viper alarm to pop the hatch remotely. This all goes along with the Ratman mod for the interior switch to open the hatch and with the struts from strutwise that are now out. I am waiting on the arrival of the struts so the hatch will then release all the way up. Thanks again to Ratman and Strutwise for making this all become a reality!

Nice job lowrider. I want to do something similar to my Maggie, after I finish modding the BEE.

What I plan to do is buy the guts from a new Lexus LX550 trucks rear auto open/close hatch. Then fabricate the guts into the Magnum rear hatch so it will open and close (all motorized) with a push of a button.

Thanks guys! I have not shaved my handle yet, only removed the wiper and put a plug in it. That is next up on the mod list.

LowRiderman3, Thanks for sharing. I just ordered a set from Frank at www.strutwise.com. He is a cool dude. Now the hatch will open all the way up with a push of the hatch release mod.

If anybody has not heard you can contact Frank directly and get a set for under 100.00 plus shipping. I don't know how long he will keep this price, but there is a group buy over at LX so he knows a lot of folks are interested in a set.

Wait, whats going on with the rear hatch? Something about a mod? All I heard was wrap coal with peanut butter and put it in the microwave to make a diamond.

I like it. I have been thinking about this mod too.
