Chin Spoiler Questions
Hey all,
I've got a few questions on the Charger and Danko spoilers. First, how does one modify the Charger spoiler to fit a Magnum properly, I have not been able to find any info, and it looks like you would have to cut it to get it to work. Second, any body with the Danko in the Frozen North? I love the look, but I am afraid of adding a snow plow, since it is my daily driver. How about the shaved version, how much real clearance do you lose if you have OE suspension? Thanks as always!!! |

Here's Bigal470's install on the Charger front lip Front lip
while I'm not quite in the Frozen North I do make some trips up to the mountains with my Danko Chin spoiler. I haven't had any problems with clearance (stock suspension AWD) -- it doesn't really project down as much as it does forward. I'm more cautious on large "dips" but I've only scraped once. |

Question 1: you have to cut a small V on the backside center of the charger unit so you can snug it up to the magnum fascia.
Questoin2: The Danko unit projects an optical illusion when you look at it from the front, it is actually not any lower than the rest of the bottom of the car. It does protrude forward about 2 inches, so when you look at it from the front there is the appearance of it looking like it is almost dragging the ground. ![]() ![]() |

I have the Charger spoiler I used bolts and flat washers to install. I didnt modify it at all other than I put an extra bolt and some fender washers(bigger around) to help pull the center up tight!

I just installed the unshaved Danko chin spoiler on my Magnum, I have the stock suspension. There is about 6.25 inches of clearance from the bottom of the spoiler to the ground (pavement).
The Danko spoiler is mounted using 9 bolts, 5 medium & 4 smaller ones. Yes, you must drill 9 holes into your fascia to mount the spoiler. You can do the install by yourself, but having an extra set of hands helps a lot. There is a thin rubber gasket that comes with the spoiler that gets put on, it helps sealer the spoiler and saves the paint from any rubbing. That's my son doing the install on mine................ I'm still waiting on mine. They sent me a shaved one instead of the unshaved one I ordered/bought. I had a appointment all set up to have it painted/installed with the thrid rear brake area and had to put it off.
Now they don't have a slot open for over a month due to the recent storm. So I wasn't exactly thrilled so far. |
