Projector Headlights bulb size?

Do the projector headlights use the same size low beam bulb as our stock units? The reason I ask is because I just installed my HIDs in the stock units and the light pattern isnt as crisp and I have seen on others with the projectors. So I want to get some projectors but want the HIDs that i just purchased to work too.

It really depends on which projector headlight system you bought. I've generally only seen two. The setup that has two main headlights per side (projector for low beam, standard for high beam) uses the stock 9006 headlight bulb. The setup with three circles is the one I have. Inside circle is for the 3157 turn signal bulb. Middle circle is for the stock OEM high beam and the outside circle is the projector housing. It's an H10 bulb stock but can be upgraded to the corresponding H10 HID bulb.
Your HID pattern on stock Magnum headlights is not going to be crisp becacuse of the build of the OEM housing. They are meant to throw a large amount of light with less effort, whereas the projector is made to throw it's light in a very distinct, crisp pattern. Really, the projectors should come with HID installed because the lights they are shipped with are extremely inadequate.
BTW: If you buy projectors, be prepared to do a LOT of aiming before you get 'em just right.

Thanks for the quick response. I wanted the 2 main headlight unit so that works good.

I thought they take an H1 bulb, not H10?

Yup, you're right! Low beams are H1 and the fog lights are H10.
Sorry 'bout that!
