Taped off, trying to keep as much shining threw as possible, that is why the little wings, tried to follow the reflector chamber somewhat.
Here is one coat of Nightshades on the right and two on the left, two coats is what I did before I removed the taped off area.
Here is one coat on the taped off area, 3 on the overall light,
here is the final on the nightshates, two coats on the taped off areas, and 4 over the rest, I think it looks perfect.
Gonna let it sit for few days and then clear coat it. Real happy with the way they came out, I'll post pics when I get them on the Mule.
Question, should I just shoot the cleat right over the night shades? Give it a quick sand with 400 or maybe hit it with 2000 grit?? I am thinking just go over the nightshades as it, it seems to have a little texture to it as is. What did you do when you tinted yours?
Nice job. Very interesting with your taping theme but I like it a lot!!! I cant remember exactly but I think I just shot the clear on with out any more sanding, but I did sand between every clear coat with 1500 or 2000 grit.
This weekend, cleared them last weekend, hope to buff them out during the week, they turned out reaaaallllly sweet, I can't wait to install them, but I wanted the clear to set a few days before I buffed, also doing Halos at the same time, in between that, soccer, baseball, basketball and softball, time is a little tight,..... I am defintely hoping they go in this weekend. I will definitely post pics of the process.
