Got the thumbs up
On the way to work this am while I was being passed by a Super Bee Charger, he slowed down took a second look and gave the thumbs up to me. I guess it's because I have stripped all the moldings and badges off. Made me feel pretty good though. I thought that only I noticed the subtle difference.

Yeah, that's really cool when someone else apprieciates how nice your car is beside you! Believe it or not... I have NEVER seen a Super Bee driving on the road, NOR have I ever seen another SRT of any kind! I am really shocked at that! Makes me feel more important in mine. LOL

Don't even get me started on the stares! I got people videophoning, taking pictures, slowing down for me to catch up, speeding up to check the Mag out, honking, pointing. I HATE IT!!!! I don't really even drive it that much any more 'cuz I don't like the attention at all. I RARELY even open the doors upwards anymore when I do take the Mag out. Really I just mod it for me. It was in one public show and that's it for me. GREAT people at the show but I'm really more reserved than I thought.
I'm sure most of you go through this scenario: Driving in traffic, come up to a stop light behind someone else, don't pull up too close out of respect for others, you can FEEL someone in the next lane pull up to the same light but only up to your rear quarter right in the blind spot, even though there is a full car length+ in front of them? You look back and they are staring your car up and down. Just ain't for me. Last edited by DA HNIC; 05-12-2008 at 09:59 AM.. |

Da Hnic, I think it has to do with how you view your work. If you are all prideful about it and drive it with the attitude of "look at me" then I totally agree.
But if you are humble and simply like that others can appreciate your taste, styling and uniqueness of your efforts then thats great. To me one thing I love about the maggie is it doesn't look like any other car. Even stock it stands out, today so many cars all look the same. It nice to have something with a style and uniqueness all its own. |

^^^^I agree^^^^
Definitely there is a way I view my own Mag. When the 300's and Mags first came out I hated 'em. They looked like stubby-nosed bricks to me! It was NOT love at first sight. Now, I look at it every day while it sits in my garage and I just admire it. Just seems weird when other people admire it too. It's not radically modded but it sure is a li'l different. The biggest thing is that I built it this way for me and strange as it may sound I'm not really into the on-street attention. So why build it, right? |

Don't get me wrong, I did this to my Mag because I saw it on this site and thought that I would like to see mine done the same way. For me not for everyone else. The attention just feels strange, but in a good way.
