Got a set of balck LED tail lights. Has anyone had a problem with condensation in the tail lights? I have had major issues with my headlights! I don't want to waist my time and energy installing them if they will form condensation. Any advice?
One of the guys here in our CenCalLX club had some condenstation issues with one in his set.
But as far as I know that was an isolate issue and not necessarily an issue on every set that was made.
I have never done it myself but I don't think the swap out is that difficult.
Easy to swap the rears, just don't drop that wing nut.
Check the underside of the light there may be a small crack or some sealant missing. If you can't return them seal them with some adhesive style caulk.
KGB44 do you have the factory headlights? if you do i think there was a TSB through chrysler on them for direct replacement. let me look for the TSB #.
I got a pair too and no issues, and mind you, I'm in florida, moisture hell !! Install is cake, as mentioned above don't lose the wing nut and be patient and use glove otherwise you'll tear your hands UP !!
I dropped "THAT" wingnut, I used a square liscense plate insert and it screwed right on. BUT I"m not a rigging kind a guy, $6 from the stealership for that damn wingnut. Oh well.
