I Am So Done With Aac Halos!
Well after finally taking apart the headlight assemblies for the 4TH time and cleaning out all the old sealant, i got everything ready to put it back together. So i finally decided to take everything out of the boxes, open up one of the bubble wrapped halos only to find one of the small halo rings broken inside! I put everything down and shook my head in disbelief..........Thats when i have decided in my opinion this has got to be the most costly, useless never ending pain in the a$$ mod ever!!!!!!So if anyone wants these halo's let me know. I will get rid of the whole kit for something in trade and i will even cover the shipping both ways? I just don't want nothing to do with this headache of a product................Sorry AAC guys, but come on you know how on a scale of install for the DIY person this has got to be a 1 being on the "DIFFICULT" level............and about $500 in purchases to top it off!

I will agree 100% Jay.
I am in too deep to abort mine tho. I almost considered letting them do it at this point but they are very back logged right now on the installs. The key for me so far is that I am so past a level of frustration that I can't get any more frustrated. If only the components weren't so finiky. I finally get to seal mine up and a ring breaks (after a ring broke before I go to seal it up). I finally get to seal up the other one and now a section of my LED's are not working. The same section I had to re-solder, then eventually solder 2 small wire jumpers. Now I have both of them sealed up, 1 with a broken large ring in it and one with non working section of LED's. I feel your pain!!!!!!!!!! |

WOW what the hell. I was sh!ttin bricks when I was doing this mod. You have to be fragile with them. I can't believe people are having mad problems with these. Is it just the color ones that are breaking easy or what?????

Maybe they need to make the lights a little thicker. And why the hell can't they just make a 16" LED strip? As it is now they take a 12" strip and then have to solder on a 4" extention. This is my biggest frustration, that after they test okay (prior to sealing up the light) you put them in and seal up the light and whala..... they either break or they don't work. AAAARGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!! Last edited by Magmania; 05-14-2008 at 11:30 PM.. |
