Removing front fascia.
Can anyone explain to me how to remove the front bumper?
Planning to remove the whole bumper when I install my danko grill and want to do the fog light bezels the same time. Just need to know how to remove the whole thing. Thanks. |

I appreciate the attempt boomer.
But my plan is to remove the whole bumper, not just replace grill inserts. I am putting in a danko grill and I plan to work on my fog light bezels at the same time. It would be easier to do both if I can have the whole bumper off, not just be able to get to inserts. |

I have it in PDF format (it's for the 300 but my understanding is the mag is similar) just PM me your email and I'll send it to you.

You remove the 6-8 fasteners at the top (like in that video).
I usually leave 2 of them loose but in place. These will hold the fascia in place until you are ready to pull the fascia off. Remove the 8-10 screw fasteners at the under side where the belly pan meets the fascia. Open up the front wheel wells by removing the 2-3 fasteners that attach it to the fascia. I believe these fasteners will have to be replaced once you remove them. I would get some speed nut clip and screw fasteners for that. Once you have the well open there are 2 bolts (10mm I think), 1 on each side that hold the facia to the upper fender. These bolts are screwed into the fender vertically. That's it. Pull out those last 2 fasteners at the top and grab the facia and pull it forward. If you have fog light assemblys, don't pull too far until you disconnect the harness connectors. A quick rundown: remove the radiator covers, the belly pans, the wheel well shrouds, and then it's two nuts holding the fascia to the fenders? If so, then that's fairly easy and straightforward and I thank you again. |

I have done this so many times that I can take mine off in like 15 minutes or so. As for the clips, here is a picture of what I am referring to but other types will work just as well. ![]() Check out this link for some fasteners. You might be able to get these locally in your area but this will show you what some look like. Auto Body Clips and Fasteners Last edited by Magmania; 05-22-2008 at 12:55 AM.. |

Just want to say thanks again to magmania for the info on removing the fascia.
I actually removed the clips above the radiator last. Everything you said though was spot on and my neighbor even freaked out at how fast I got the thing off. Thanks again. ![]() |
