Soooo....
I finally got my 10000K Halos and Monday is hopefully the day for the install to being.... What did (for those of you that have them) did you use to re-seal the headlights or should I just do what AAC says and just clamp the headlights for 3-5 hours and then put them back in?

I think you're saying that AAC's instructions said to reuse the existing sealant by just clamping the lights together and baking? Letting the old sealant melt and bond the lens and housing?
I do not recommend that. It might work sometimes but for a better guaranteed seal, you should completely clean off and get rid of the old factory sealant. Use of a heat gun will make it a little easier. This IMO is the hardest part of the mod. Once it is completely cleared of old sealant, fill the housing troff with new sealant, clamp, tape, strap (or whatever works for you) the lens to the housing and let it setup. After that I then ran an additionl bead of sealant around the lens and housing and pressed it in with my finger tip wherever possible. Here is what AAC recommended and it's what I used. I would say to use a clear sealant if one exists. Black will show through the edges of your lens otherwise. ![]() |

Use black. I used a clear sealant and was not to enthusiastic about the close up look.
