WTB or swap headlights
I've got a dark blue 2005 Magnum R/T. It came with the chrome headlights. I hate chrome on new cars and I'm planning on blacking out as much as I can on it. Everything I've seen as far as aftermarket seem to be those ricer style headlights that look better suited for a Civic than a Magnum. My goal is to build a dark, sinister, musclewagon. I have seen a lot of the SE and SXT Magnums have black housings. Anyone out there a fan of chrome? I would be willing to trade headlights or if you've upgraded to aftermarket, I would buy your old ones off of you. If anyone is interested, let me know on the thread or at neenee69@hotmail.com. Thanks.

I haven't really thought of painting them, I didn't know how much of a good idea that is, since I don't plan on installing HID's quite yet, just maybe some upgraded xenon bulbs. I've never heard of AAC until I hit log in to this place, but I think they might be worth checking out. I found a place called Pacific Coast Creations that smokes the tail lights and it looks like they have a good process, but they don't say anything about the headlights. Ideally I would like to have them completely blacked out, but the old GTS headlight covers seem to have made their way out somehow, and painted seems like it would block a lot of light. I just figured right now the black oem would tide me over for now. I already swapped the "plastic chrome" grille for a black honeycomb, and tinted the front windows to match the back, so it's getting there, but I just don't like how flashy the chrome headlights are. Any other ideas will be entertained though. Thanks.

I am not a big fan of the ricer look either. In my opinion, this car is too big for such small lights. You can go with OEM SRT headlights. They have the black housing. Though I have an SRT, I am not selling mine. I found a seller on ebay that is selling a set. I think they will be about $400+ shipped. You may be able to hit up a few online auto parts places and find them also. Hope this points you in the right direction.

Wow, those look amazing and exactly what I'd like on mine. I'm getting ready to do a six month deployment, so I should save some money, and just go with some brand new OEM SRT-8 ones. You all know how hard it is to wait though.

Thanks for the input scojax, but I think I'll go with the OEM SRT-8 black ones. For some reason the halos just don't sit right with me on the Magnum. I think the black ones would look killer on my dark blue car, especially since I've never seen dark ones on that color. Looks like they only put chrome on the dark blue. You SE/SXT guys are right, you did get the hook up on the headlights, but then again it's cheaper to swap headlights than swap in a hemi!!
