tailgate shocks
Does anyone know of a tailgate shock that would open it up with out touching it once opened. Just found the release wire under the dash board.

There's a mod you can do - you have to wire it in and add a switch (or button) the majority get the trunk release button from the chargers and put it in that little circle spot under the dash on the left... but it's my understanding that the harness for the latch is taped up behind that panel

How much am I going to be paying for them from strutwise. When you remove the cover under the steering wheel you will see the wires for it on the left all you will need is a button and wire it up and presto trunk release.

Yeah, I bought a pre made trunk release button from a guy over on LXForums, I'm not sure if he makes them any more.
Anyway the switch was $15 and I think the struts were a little prices because they are made so well, no more than $120 though. The wires are just hanging right under the dash just loose. If you can get a button it's just plug and play. I'll see if I can get any pictures of mine Here's the Step By Step: LX Forums Modern Mopar Muscle - View Single Post - Liftgate release button Kit...ORDER HERE!! Just ignore Phase 3 if you're planning on getting the strut wise struts for the hatch. |
