Brands of Automotive Paint?

Ok, I'm trying to pick out the right color for my magnum for when I get to paint her. What I'm wondering is if anyone out there has any preferences as to which brands of automotive paint are the best? Right now I'm looking at House of Kolor for a couple of their base colors but I wouldn't mind a larger selection.

So any preferences?

All of my competitors. Don't go to them

I can personally speak for the high quality paint Sherwin Williams Automotive carries. I don't know if this is just a training center or a sales branch but you can give them a call if you want.

From my 2 weeks, these are the brands my branch carries.
-Dimension-Lowest price and somewhat plain quality. Good for quick fix
-Genesis-Great paint for a single stage
-Ultra 7000-Unbelievably high quality for all stages
-Planet Color-Show quality paint. This is what I will be putting on my car
in the fall.

House of Kolor is amazing stuff. Haven't learned much about it yet tho.

If you can wait a couple months, I might be able to hook you up or even be able to inform you more.

Thanks chief, I'm waiting for a while. Building a paint area at my parent's and trying to get the body finished with the chin spoiler and the read bumper diffuser, then going to try to two tone it with the original paint but I'm trying to find the right color to go with. I was looking for brands to see if I can get paint chips to see what I liked. The HOK paint chip book is way too much just for this so I'm hoping that a shop in my area that carries them might have the bok for me to look at. I'll go into shermin williams and see what they have, there are a few stores around here.

R-M is pretty good stuff

The shop just painted a 54 Chevy with 29 coats of candy House of Kolor. The batch was bad and now the paint has halo's in it. You can not just respray a panel with candy and get it to match. So now the whole car must be repainted again. 12k in materials and 24k in labor, House of Kolor will only reinburse for the materials not the labor. This car took about 32 hours of continious spraying and now he is out the labor he used to paint it.
Just one of the horror stories that can happen with paints.
