Cover front license plate holes
I took my front license plate off because I was tired of it and was suddenly reminded of how considerate dodge was for drilling 2 holes in the middle of my front bumper. I know many of you share my displeasure. So here's how I fixed the problem. I looks pretty good if you ask me.
I went to Pep Boys auto parts and bought a package of 2 Chrysler body panel trim retainers by Dorman Auto parts #45492. ($2.00) I painted these with my brilliant black pearl touch up paint. Then I shot them with a couple coats of clear. Pressed them into the holes and there you go. I took close up pictures at dusk with a flash so you could see the finished parts. From a distance with natural light, you can't even see them. The retainers are plastic, so they won't ruin the threaded holes in the bumper if you decide you want your plate back on. Here's a couple of pictures. ![]() ![]() Pictures in daylight from a distance - ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Fireman2118; 07-11-2008 at 01:36 PM.. |
