hi everyone, i have a 05 mag, the trouble that im having is ther is no power, when i start off i seems to be in second gear all the time, it never goes into first??. then when i put the car in low so i get first, and punch it, it boggs untill it hits 3500rpm. also when i am on the hwy and im at 110km/h and try to pass it kicks donw a gear and boggs, then if i hit the gas pedal another time it shifts down another gear and hit's 6000rpm + then up shifts that i have all the power and im good till the next time i try to pass?, and if im at a stop light and lift my foot off the brake the car hopps, has anyone had this problem or know a solution of why it does this??
please help, the dodge dealer has no idea how to fix it,
thanks..
Almost sounds like it's in limp mode, that is if it only stays in second. Do a search here for "limp mode" I would do it for ya and post links, but I'm on my phone.
Could be time for a TCM flash from the dealer. Search TCM flash and you'll ge the TSB for the flash. If it is under warranty, that might take care of it.
Disconnect the positive side of the battery and reconnect it after a while to allow your TCM to reset. You may have to retrain your TCM. Have you purchased a Diablo yet? You can fine tune everything that way if necessary.
05 is what i have, i tried the battery disconect, like i said is just loads up i think it might be the torque converter, i remember guys on here talking about the t vert causing isues but not sure if there the same, with the resinator out of the car i can hear the engine and the rpm changes when you have your foot into it but then i starts to bog, dodge has no idea, i can push the gas pedal to the floor and it does nothing, it picks up speed very slow, i had a tech from dodge drive with me and made me drive like i always do and he told me to go on the hwy and hold it down and there was nothing dead, and not a thing on the scan tool. it sucks when to try to merge on a hwy, and sad that my 2000 stock sunflower can kill my mag in a race with my wife driving.
