I always thought my A/C could be colder, but summer is almost over and I prefer windows when possible. How does one add freon?

there is a aluminum pipe running to the right of the engine (in the RT) and underneath it, of course dodge will make it hard to get to, is the filling port!

I have had my AC freeze on me actually and stop working. I believe it was the air flap freezing and stop blowing to pretty much all the ports - would get icy- crystals that would come out and after ~20 minutes defrost and blow again.

Of course i had the bad luck for this to occur on a road trip 100 miles from home at 1 am. Lets just say it was a long long drive from Dallas to St Louis.

Doing freon basically hook the hose up (you need a special Hose/Guage) and get the AC Pump to suck the can empty loading the freon.

I am about ~54k and have not had to replace freon yet
