Dirty coolant
So I have 24k on the car and @ like 15k had the cam put in and @ that time new coolant was put in. So the coolant is like 9k old and should be good for 90k. But it's dark.
I know their had been a proub. with the 6.1's but I have a 5.7. I went too Dodge and they said they would do a flush and fill for $125.00 !! BS !! Then if it gets bad again they will " look into it " I don't fell like paying them $125.00 just to have them tell me it's ???????/ trans. fluid leak and all needs to be done again. So what's the thinking out their. thanks |

hello get a good flush the DuPont 2 part was the best i ever used [acid cleaner with a neutralizer ]run it for a day or 2 than what i do is to remove the upper hose from the radiator install a garden hose in the rad than run the car at idle and let it run until it is clean and clear [this may take a few minutes because the thermostat will be opening and closing ]than shut every thing off remove the lower hose to get a good drain of the system than close up every thing install new antifreeze and a conditioner and you are good total cost around 30.00 i also recommend that you install what the dealer recommends if they want the orange install the orange a quick example vws use a pink antifreeze this does not eat plastic green antifreeze does i have used the gold but only when i was not able to get the factory recommend anti freeze
