i have a 07 magnum with 24 thousand miles on a 3.5 liter, took it to dealer for service and 2 days later started hearing a taping noise like a lifter tap, drove for 3 weeks and found metal shavings in oil has anyone else had this problem or heard of anyone that has? any help would be great. the dealer is trying to say it was vandalized but the only one under hood was dealer and me. so no way that happened. so now they donnt want to cover warrenty. The dealership today is now offering to trade me straight across for a 2008 jeep compass ralley with 85 miles on it for our magnum, it is a hard choice to make. sounds like a great deal but we really like our magnum. donnt know what to do. i told the big boss that we could always get her another mag. or we could keep this one and find a diff. motor for it. maybe a hemi this time.

They try everything they can to not warrenty anything. I think it sucks. What good is a warrenty when the dealers give you BS lines to get out of fixing whats wrong. Im going thru this right now with a poss. trans. leak into my coolant. And mine always wants the car ALL day for everything. Air in the tire.. all day .. oil change.... 2 days.. well you know. Keep on them and make some calls, make them fix it.
The stealerships never like to do warranty work. Just keep giving them hell and if you have to threaten them with a lawyer. Ya just have to stand your ground with them and let them know who is in charge.
for god's sake, its "WARRANTY"!!!! hahaha Good job cappadocious, bean for correct grammar lol. Dealerships are notorious for screwing you over WARRANTY repairs. If your WARRANTY is through dodge, go to another dealership, which sucks cus it might be far. IF like me you got extended WARRANTY its through a 3rd party company, talk to them, they usually have excellent customer service, at least Zurich does. File a complaint and have them speak to the dealership directly, takin you out of the loop, and the headaches out of you. Good Luck my man. ..........warranty.........
tell them to cover the crap or refund you that warranty you paid in.... then offer to have a lawyer look over ur paperwork, they'll cave faster than the Bills in a superbowl, lol
