yaboywoo is just warmin' up!
Dash making crackling noises when heat turned on...

I did some researching on this and everything i read wasnt the problem i am having. When i turn the heat on the dash makes a little crackling noise as if the plastic is flexing. Its only when i first turn my car on, wait for it to warm up and then turn the heat on. I guess my concern is that it will eventually cause a crack in my dash and i will have to replace it but then again its not as bad as some of the stories i've read. maybe i'm just being paranoid......

NO I have the same thing. I think it is just because when it is cold plastic shrinks a little and when the heat goes on and runs through the vents it expands it all a bit. Plastic is flexable to a point and I think it is ok.

I have the same thing. I figured that it is just the plastic expanding with the heat. If it cracks, it cracks. Ain't much you're gonna do about it.
