Today I decided to remove the Ram emblem from my car. It was not easy and I....I....SCRATCHED her!!! So I decided to put it back on without the black background. Just to be different I painted it and my license plate frame. I'm not sure if I like it or not, i'm thinking it needs to be a brighter red, I don't know! Also, How do you get the front emblem off? I was afraid i'd break it so I did'nt push the issue!

I don't know, actually. After getting it off I noticed a scratch under where the decal was, it's not a deep scratch, my uncle owns a detail shop and I think he can buff it out. But until then, i'm keeping it on cause it looked like s**t! Can buffing get the 'ghosting' out??
BigAl470 has a skull and cross bones emblem so im sure he could chime in on removing it. I think there are screws or something behind the bumper, but I am not sure...
Yeah SM, I would make it a lighter, or as bright as the dodge color. Sorry to hear you scratch the Mag. I'll be debadging our Mag this weekend, *crosses fingers*
The Ram badge was the only one that I had any problem with, everything else, including side molding, went smoothly. Heat is the key! Keep the side your working on in the sun, it helps ALOT!
I removed the ram on the back with fishing line, then used goo gone to remove all the adhesive it left behind. Sorry to hear of your bad experience. Keep on trucking!!
I soaked it with goo gone, then since i did'nt have any fishing line, I used a really thick thread and that lifted it enough to get my fingers under it and lift it off. I'm not the "OMG! I broke a nail!" type but I ripped 2 of them down below the skin trying to get that dammed thing off!
hey you can get the ghost out the side of my car has a ghost line from the dor moldings. a little cut pollish and time and there gone. oh im not realy a fan of the red ram embel... if anything and really nice pin stripe graphic around the tail gate hatch would go with the licence plate.. jim
