Wire taps.

These wire taps from Radioshack. I use them when the area is tight. All you need it a needlenose pliers.

They work great in areas that are not prone to water or corrosion. I use shrink tubing over exterior splices.

I use these on interior wiring on occasion...but like others said...cant get these wet or damp
