Rattling noise out back?

So the past couple of weeks driving around i've noticed some vibration sound coming from the spare tire area and couldn't figure out what was rattling in there? So today i started moving things around and bumped against the rear bumper and found a really loose bumper cap.Has anyone else have the same problem?

Unfortunately we don't get a spare tire. Which is a mind boggler to me...But I do have a rattling sound that come from right around the rear diffuser (wing) and only comes right after I wash it

I have the same sound too, i have yet to inspect what it is though. As far as the spare tire FF2MOE, my wife's magnum came with a spare. I guess maybe that's cuz we didn't get the R/T or SRT? Weird that your's didn't.

Ok, Funny someone puts a thread about this. I have taken out every piece of rear inside molding, spare, sub-floor, basically everything in the back to track down my noise. When I make right turns, or hit a larger bump, it sounds like something is hitting the inside of the rear drivers side quarter panel. My buddy suggested it was my gas door just loose and smacking, but that wasn't it. Maybe I should check the bumper, but I could have sworn it was from the inside. Anyway, My back end is gutted until I can figure out what it is, Guess perfect time to mod the hell out of it. Already removed the wiper motor, haha, Didn't fix the noise though. Time to get rid of more stuff until I find it I guess.

i had allot of noise and it was my jack located under the spare....you might want to take the floor out in the back and have a buddy jump in the as you drive around

Already did that, as I said, I removed EVERYTHING, spare, sub floor, jack, panels, and it's still there. Sounds like its behind the insulation of the drivers side rear panel. The one thats a pain to remove, cause the side seat bolster is keeping it down. I drove my buddy mad going in circles with him back there, haha. Still couldn't narrow it down anymore. About to take it to the dealership and flex some warranty muscle, and have them sort it out.

Well I'll be damned i have the exact same problem. my is also on the driverside rear panel. I had my buddy drive and I found the problem to be comming from where the speakercover is. I removed it while he was driving and it seemed to have gotten worse. Its something from behind that drivers side rear interior panel. I thought it was the gas door until I listened from the inside while in motion. My Mag sounds like a damn old sail boat, Im sure the fact that i have 79,000 miles on it dosent help either.

I have a spare! Maybe it's just the srt?
Noises from the rear are apparently very common with magnums....check these threads out as tons of folks report all kinds of different stuff!

Hi

I had the same noise and i went through everything, what i found it to be was the rear seats, for some reason they were making the noise, after pulling them both down and using some wd-40 the noise went away..the sound i was gettin was a bumping sound..

I've been chasing these things from day one. I have found the pad that is next to the rear seat that can be removed will rattle if not snug. Fold the seat down and the see if that is rattling. I use some adhesive and dense foam to tighten that one up.

Also, I've got some others in the back hatch, but I'm starting the use "Great Stuff" foam to hopefully address this. This the foam that you use for cracks in foundation that expands and hardens nicely when sprayed in.

My wife things I've lost it as I'm crawling around back there all the time!
