Thanks. I had ordered the car with the Road and Track Performance Group sight unseen, and when I went to pick it up I knew immediately that the stock height with the 20" chrome wheels was not the look I was seeking.
If I had known, I might have gone with the SRT, but then my wife would have been nagging me about the gas mileage all the time. The MDS 5.7 is doing well so far at the pump with freeway driving. |

For my personal taste - I was looking to get the SRT seats and the approximate SRT look but while paying a little less on both the sticker price and the gas bill than actually coughing up all the money for an SRT. The part about paying way less than an SRT didn't work out so well after the cost of both the dealer package and the cost to reverse the load leveling suspension on the Road and Track Performance Group and drop it an inch and a half. Anyway, I'm happy with it the way it is now so it all worked out. |

I like the way your car looks. It is nice....But when DCX went and put the SRT replicas on the 07's now, unless you knew how to tell the difference, you wouldn't know an SRT from a non-srt But they do look good, they should've pput the Magnum SRT replicas on the magnums instead of the Charger SRT replicas...

Could you explain the part about the Charger SRT replicas on the magnums? To answer the other question about the lowering kit, I had to deal with the fact that I ordered a Dodge performance package with automatic height adjustment and load leveling that had to be defeated in order to lower the car. I found this out after I picked up the car and couldn't deal with how high it looked. I ended up with an adjustable system that can drop it up to 3" (mine is lowered 1.5"), which I suppose is nice in the long run: H&R Height Adjustable Coil-Overs Engineered for road and occasional track use, H&R Coil-Overs feature a fully-threaded shock body (not an imitation sleeve-over) that allows you to precisely dial in height adjustment to achieve optimum weight transfer, or simply get the aggressive look you've been looking for. Featuring H&R's exclusive dynamic damper technology, each shock is engineered to work in harmony with a progressive-rate spring, together creating a finely-tuned suspension system.Decades of suspension experience are realized here: Development and production of high tension springs and shock absorbers is done at H&R. All parts are produced after OE standards. High quality monotube-shock absorber technique is combined with individually tuned springs and delivers a convincing lowering, a good driving experience without loosing the necessary comfort. |
