Last night my wife got pulled over in the Mag for the front driver & passenger windows being tinted! I thought it was really stupid because when i got the Magnum last year it was only a week-old before i got it tinted (rolling on stocks) now that i have 22's, it seems to attract more attention to the cops. What im trying to get at is its a stupid law in California. So much for "Sunny California!" What is it? If a car looks stock when its tinted that looks like its factory done. Once you start to customize all the trouble starts with the LAW! Sorry guys just venting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome to the world of profiling, it happens everyday, for so many reasons. Damn shame you can't have nice things without somebody trying to steal it or hate on it for some reason.
I got pulled over a week after I bought my Magnum and the officer said I needed to get the tint removed. But he was talking about the FACTORY tint because I didn't have any tint on the front windows yet. Now I am at 15% on all windows!
I know... I have already gotten two tickets for the front tint and the first time it was to get the ticket sign off and pay 10 dollars, the second time it was again to get the ticket sign off and this time it when up to $130. Apparently the fee goes up everytime. So I decided to take the tint off and put on a lighter one... so we'll see what happens!!!
My fronts are tinted as well as a large windshield banner that goes down probably twice the legal limit and I'm not running a front plate.
Friday night going home I get stuck in a sobriety check point right by the house. All window down, radio down, get all paper work ready and draft off the truck in front of me so they can't see that I don't have a front plate, about a two foot gap. Luckily all goes well, this time...
