Well I am at it again, Only this time for a fellow CM.com Member 2.7 to 3.5 swop out.

Hey guys well as the title states THis weekend I was at it again.
I did a motor swop on a fellow cm.com's car.

a while back he posted that he hydrolocked his motor and was looking for any advise as to what to do. well I was his answer He purchased my motor as well as shipped the car from NJ to florida to have me put the motor in.

here are some pics Ill try to explain but i am limited in time so this might be a quick post and ill refine it later.



day 1,



the car is just getting pulled into the garage and things are being removed to start the surgery.,



from bumper removed exposing radiator assemble



headlights and all removed.



radiator and fan assemble as well as radiator support has been removed to aid in the engine and transmission removal.


underneath the car before the exhaust and drive shaft were removed.,


front section of the drive shaft and exhaust removed.


engine is chained up and removal process has begun.



engine is more than half out stopped to disconnect some line and power to the started etc.



engine has been removed, Notice the brake lines to the abs pump had to be removed as well.



transmission had to removed and reused on the 3.5 motor due to the lack of required components needed to run the 5 spd trans.

4 spd trans from the 2.7 motor and torque converter.


trans installed on the 3.5 l motor. man look at all thos wires.,


new engine and trans chained and raised to go in.



new motor has started to be installed.


motor is in and the radiator and support have been reinstalled. most of the major connections have been completed as well.

here goes nothing the wiring fun has begun.


most of the wiring complete and the computer is there to verify pin outs.


time to program the car star mobile and computer are connected to the car and programming has begun.



motor is instaled, A little dirty and messy under there but ill take car of that soon enough.



New motor has been installed and the car is all back together.



here is the finished product. car is back together.

At this point Im am just waiting to recieve the new ecm from the dealer to program and send the car on its way the 2.7 l ecm computer can not be reprogrammed for a 3.5l motor so we have to get a new one.


some of the mods I have done are among the most detailed and this time I came thru to help out another member from this site. and I hooked him up completely. I would love to shine with one of those cmom badges under my name, but of course that is up to you. infact id like even to be nominated. and I love beans too lol.
