Question oil pressure problems and the non-stop "DING"...

Okay so i had the common P0520 code with a flashing oil light and dinging that by now is literally constant once she warms up. So I replaced the oil pressure sensor located behind the alternator, that didn't fix it, instead the code changed from a P0520 to a P0522 = Oil pressure sensor circut low voltage. Now I've heard talk of both an oil pressure sending unit and an oil pressure switch. One located on the block behind the alternator and one by the oil filter. My oil pressure readings on the EVIC are all over the place, anywhere from 0-99psi with no rhyme or reason. I'm wondering if maybe it's the sensor by the oil filter? What exactly does it sound like the mafunction here is? And which sensor is which?
I don't think I can stand the "DING" much longer lol and not having MDS kinda sucks too.

Thanks for any help you can offer! and on a side note, you guys were able to help fix my sunroof sealing issue that I struggled with for months!

You already checked your oil level, I presume. Did you just get an oil change or anything ?
    Just lower it.

replace the sensors, then the sending unit. Also check for loose connections to the sensors before you replace them.

And change your oil, 4K... it's time, unless you're running Royal Purple.

I think I might piggy back onto this thread.

I've had my '05 RT since the end of May. I was dropping the GF off at work this morning, and as I was slowing to a stop in the parking lot, the car surged forward (as if I were gently pressing the accelerator) then got the 'ding' and my oil pressure light came on. I shut it off immediately and checked the oil level, and for any leaks. The oil was at the bottom of the 'safe' zone on the stick, and no leaks were found. This was about 15 minutes ago. I haven't had a chance to hook up my code scanner yet.

Anyone else had that happen, with the sudden surge and then the oil light coming on?

Okay, well I already replaced the sensor behind the alternator, it's possible I got a bad one as I didn't get an oem mopar one. what other sensors are part of this system, and where is the sending unit?

    Im having the same issues...
A week after changing the oil w/Royal purple I got the P0520 code. (5.7l)
Replaced the oil sensor behing the Alt. Sensor was cracked and was weeping oil.
Cleared the codes and all was OK for two weeks.
Now I have P0520 & P0522 codes with 0-99 psi showing on the EVIC. Oil pressure is fluctuating wildly.
Did my new sensor go bad? Could it be something else? What was done to fix your problem?

    Thanks.
