    need some help

    i wasdriving on the highway and floored the throttle and all i see in the rearveiw mirror is smoke. upon slowing down to pullover the smoke stoppped. i looked under the car to see what i see and its leaking by the trans fluid pan and transfer case, but it wasn't trans fluuid it was clear and had no odor at all. now i have a very slight whine that you can barely hear but i can hear it cause i know my car. any idea what this fkuid could be and what might have happened? any and al help is appreciated. thanks

    Did you have your air conditioner on? The fluid you see may just be condensation from the A/C system. It'll drip from right next to the transmission pan. As far as the smoke at W.O.T. You may just be burning a bit of oil.

    Check all your fluid levels to be sure.

    yes i had the ac on. i checked my oil level and its fine and have to wait til monday to check trans fluid.another fluid i should check? coolant is fine also.

    It sounds like the same thing happened to me.
    Check: 5.7 Smoke Screen??
    In my case, after driving the same stretch of road a few times I realized there were multiple dips in the road with each larger than the first. The last one lifts you out of the seat a bit... Which at the speed I was traveling made it even worse. It was soon after the dips when I noticed the smoke. Because I am not running a catch can, I think it could have disturbed any residual oil in the intake, thus the smoke... I have not tried to re-create this on the same strech of road nor has it happened again. Hope this helps...?
