I was working on my car and decided to replace the idler pulley, comes to find out that the center screw is stripped, i was trying using a screw extractor with a angled drill bit to fit in the tight space to do it. I was wondering if anyone would know a better way to do this, besides going to the dealership where ill lose a arm and a leg.
Why are you using a drill and a screw extrcator if the bolt hole is stripped??
You did get the old bolt out - right?
If so, you need to re-tap the hole to a bigger size and use a new bolt.
Maybe use heli-coil to repair the stripped bolt hole??
Good luck,
