So continuing with my rant. I buy a new 4 way to pry off the caps on the crappy factory lug nuts and my rotors from Pep Boys then get the wheels off the brake caliper off and then spend the next hour or so lol trying to get the caliper holder thing (technical term) off. I put on the rotor and thing attach everything put the brakes on and wouldn't you know there the wrong size and it's now 8:45 and Oriley's (where the brakes came from) closes at 9 and it's about 10 minutes away. I'm flying there to my luck there open till 10. Get back home put the brakes on and they don't fit look at it and Pep Boys gave me the wrong dang rotors and they DO close at nine. It's now 9:40 and now I'm on my way back to Oriley's to buy the right rotors with one with me of course get home and finish the project correctly. So now I have to return the rotors to Pep Boys and by the way I got new lugs as well but at least the job is done now.
Geeze, sounds like my luck. At least it is done right and you have better lugs now.

Whew... that made me tired just reading it LOL... glad you got it all done and that sounds like my luck when working on something, always end up with the wrong part some way or some how. Done brakes on mom's truck and it is an odd ball late build with some of the next model years parts on it IE larger brakes. Not listed in the database so had to search year before and after but got lucky at least and found the right ones.

Some people just need a high five... In the face... With a chair.

And that's why I do my own work now.
It sometimes takes me longer to resource the parts, and maybe twice as long to double check before the job. At least I know it's done right and the best it can be.
