The lights are not replaceable by the average user -- there are a couple of folks on the various forums who offer the service (or there used to be anyway)

they're light bulbs that are soldered in place, they have colored rubber hoods that go over them. I replaced all the burnt out ones on mine, it was hard finding he bulbs (I didn't change to LED's) but they have them on Mouser.com. If you're handy with a soldering iron it's pretty easy. Let me know if you want the part # of the lamp.

well these were not the answers i was hoping for... are the lights wired in a way where one goes bad, they all lose connectivity? im asking because i have no back lights but the lights on the a/c defrost work and all the knobs work, so im assuming its not a wiring issue.

The AC and defrost lights are LED's and don't generally burn out from age. All the other lights are incandescent and are wired in parallel, not series like Christmas lights; if one burns out the rest will stay on. If they're all out it's possible they're all toast. They are all on the same dash light circuit (orange/yellow I think) which feeds the back lights for your radio and heated seat switches, etc. Do those lights still work? Maybe there's a pin pulled out of the harness plug for your climate control unit or something. But my guess is that they're all burnt out, I've seen quite a few threads about those lights being rather fragile.

all the back lights on the a/c controls are out, but the radio and dash lights work fine. i think ill stat looking at connections first before i bite the bullet and tear into the controls.
