Well recently, we’ve BEAN (joke… haha) getting into new territory regarding one’s reputation and actually getting multiple beans in our profiles. It’s amazing that all this time most everyone on here has had just a single bean, but lately, a lot of us have been going into un-chartered territory with this whole BEAN thing!
And since there’s been several questions going around, asking how to see your rep points, or how to rep someone, etc. I thought it might be beneficial to have somewhat of a breakdown of the whole process.
Place your vote if you think this is useful information and should be a sticky to refer to and to continue to update as the unknown is discovered or if you think it’s just a bunch of nonsense and you could care less :winking-r …….. see below for the breakdown...
Oh and I had a hella time trying to get this the way I want it... so due to site limitations with images, I had to remove screen shots and icons ... I've attached the actual document though for additional reference....
Reputation is the opinion (more technically, a social evaluation) of the public toward a person, a group of people, or an organization. It is an important factor in many fields, such as business, online communities or social status. --- (wikipedia.org)
You can tell what your reputation is by hovering your mouse over the “bean” (
) underneath your post count.
Here is what we know so far:

There are 2 ways to determine how many rep points you have:
The first is by clicking on the
icon under your profile name in any of your posts.
The second is by clicking on “User CP” along the top of the page in between Forum and FAQ.
At the bottom of that page you’ll see Latest Reputation Received. This will display the point total listed and the thread in which you received the rep, the date and time rep was received and the comment the person made.
Note: You will not know who sent you the rep unless it is signed by the person giving the rep…. so when you rep someone, try to remember to put your name afterwards so they’ll know who it’s from…. Or you can always remain anonymous!
To add to someone’s reputation, just click the
icon located between the person’s on-line status indicator and report post icon under that person’s avatar. A pop-up will appear where you will either approve or disapprove that post and it will have space for you to comment.
