My new shifter knob

Installed my new shifter knob. Thanks MadDad for some advice. In the end I had to use some Tricks - Nylon Sleeve, Rubber, Tap and it is on tight!

Ok.... at the risk of sounding knowledge challenged, does the knob just screw on and off?

That's a good question to ask before you get a replacement. Not many are simply going to screw on. MadDad found one that came with adapters. I found one that came with NOTHING. The opening in the knob I bought is 5/8" and the shifter shaft is 8mm (found that out from MadDad).
I had to use some creativity to take make it work, but dang, the mofo is on and I like it.
I knew the opening wasn't the right size when I bought it, but I had to have it.

Local old school Hot Rod Shop in Charleston SC. (PM me if you want the name and number - not helpful enough to give the Plug on the forum) They had one and since it wouldn't fit and didn't have adapters, I left it - looked online, ebay etc and couldn't find one so went back an got it.
