Dash Rattle

Hi All! I have an '05 Magnum 3.5 V6 SXT and I am having a very Bad rattling sound coming from the dash area near the windshield and front speakers. I was told by a friend that is a Dodge mechanic that this is very common and easy to fix. I heard the dash just snaps out and that I need to buy some new plastic clips that hold it in.

WHERE can I get them and is this true?


Does anyone have an easy fix?

I am a mechanic myself and would like to get this done. The rattling is killing me!!!!!!!

I noticed something similar last week, But hadn't looked into it. Might have to find out more now because now I will hear it all the time.

if you pull the A piler covers off you can then pull up on the dash cowl it will pop off....this is the cause of your rattle what you need to do is make sure all the clips are on the cover then snap in back into place some of the clips will be hard to snap in you should here a pop when it goes back in properly...hard to explain

I've always had that rattle (2 years now) but just have'nt gotten around to fixing it yet. I just turn up my radio...problem solved!

I never had the dash rattle but when I have my music pumping my reading lights will rattle then when I put something in between the cracks it's hard for me to press them on and off so I just said f##k it and turn my music up even louder then I can't hear it. lol

There was a post about that not too long ago. I noticed something like that as well. Kinda sounds like a creaking sound. It comes and goes so I forget about it 'til it comes back and bothers me.........gotta get that fixed!
