Right now i have all my plastic covers off in the rear of my magnum because i am building fiberglass sub enclosures. well i now that i have them off i am seeing just how dirty they are. i want to clean them up and paint them a different color but i don't want to do anything to bold like a bright red or yellow. Just going for something simple that looks clean and wont get dirty easy. What have some of you all done i know i have seen a few fourms on ppl painting ther interior.
Thanks for you help.
I painted my interior panels usin DupliColor Vinyl & Fabric Coating. I had to clean em with Grease & Tar Remover first. It's holdin up great except for the lower panels next to the front seats. I clear coated those parts and they should be fine now.

what color is the outside of your ride

Looks sick frostbit, how hot does that get in the summer? thats another big concern of mine or i would be running home right now to do that, lol my outside is that forset green color but i plan on painting it a to tone silver and black when i can save up enough cash.
You did your whole interior with the duplicator fabric and vinyl kit? I have that site bookmarked and seen the vids. Seems easy. This seems like a cost effective way to change up the interior without breaking the bank. You did a great job on it. About how long does it take to let each panel or whatever dry? I live in an apt. Is this safe enough to do indoors, especially with a lil kid around or this stuff needs to dry outdoors? I do have outdoor patio though. One more question, lol, did you remove the door panels and such to paint or you painted while still attached? I know the small pieces can be easily removed to paint but the doors and dash are more time consuming. Black gauges? Looks sick!

^^^ I painted the steering wheel inserts, gauge rings and the radio bezel with Krylon plastic paint. The panels are all done in DupliColor Fabric & Vinyl and the headliner/pillars are velour fabric. I painted my panels when it was about 80 degrees outside, so they dried in about 10 minutes. I did a second coat and let em sit for an hour before I reinstalled em. They were plenty dry at that point. The DupliColor Fabric & Vinyl is pretty strong stuff, I wouldn't suggest doin it inside unless you have some serious ventilation. Your patio should be fine, just know that those cargo area panels are HUGE. I removed the door panels and taped off the upper part with painter's tape and large trash bags. I didn't paint the dash or other panels that were already black. It took 4.5 cans of paint to do 2 coats on just the tan panels throughout. Just a FYI so you know how much to buy. I got the black gauges from BlackCatCustoms. They light up blue... pretty sweet.

Haha i will have to take your word for it since I have never really looked intowhat color it was. I love all the detail you put into this will make it easyfor me if I decide to do this. and I agree those rear cargo pieces are Hugh, Ihave both my molds sitting on my patio right now and I have no room to work onthem. and thank you for the site for the gauges I was thinking about doing thatmyself. Still not sure what color I should paint the inside, My fav color isblue and I have the whole interior decked out in blue LEDS so I am thinkingblue paint might be over kill.
