After some short thought.. I've made the very impulsive decision to wrap my headliner and all posts. After talking to Santi and a few others.. I'm pretty determined I can get through this. Seeing how I can't drive. I might as well do something I can do.
My question is... I've looked everywhere on how to remove the headliner and pillars.. and I cant seem to find anything. Ive searched CM and maybe have overlooked a write up. But I'm stumped. Can anyone lead me in the right direction.
I plan on using 6 yards and 3m 90 adhesive.
It's simple girl lindsay I wish I had the write up but the a pillars u can pull down with a little elbow grease then Ouch a clip and viola lol the visits use torque x screws might have to buy those unless u already have them the dome light pulls downs and then unclip the lift source the oh chit handles are torque x screws as well and then in the back is one screw don't remember if its flat head or Philips as for the other pillars the rears pull down and so does the center section and the b pillars u have to remove the bottom section which just pulls our after 3 Phillips screws are removed and the c pillars are the same way u can pull them down and there is screw at the bottom underneath the bottom plastic piece don't forget to unclup the light source from the oh chit handles and there u go pull the headliner out the back of the hatch don't bend too much be very generous on the glue and don't put.on immediatly let dry a little before u add the suede so it doesn't bleed through its easy

Hmmm I think I can help with this... Use 3M 90 High Temp for the best results... have done mine twice now and that's the stuff!
Write up on interior covering, best I can do...

I learned how to do mine from Demon's write up. Absolutely use 3m 90 ! I had to do my headliner 3 times cuz I didn't use the right glue. For the C pillars, start at the weird curves and work from there. It sounds backwards, but it's the best tip I could ever offer on this.
Just lower it.
thanks!!! that was actually the write up I was looking for. I noticed you posted about it in a few older threads but never linked it. so i was stumped.
joey! thank you. i'm gonna go find some fabric tomorrow and tackle it and hoepfully get it done before easter. that's if... this idea of mine falls through![]()
as for the torque x screws.. where can i get these?
oh duh, the bit... i totally spaced on that one.
so.. i HAVE to scrape the insulation? damn. i hate fiberglass. im gonna have to wear gloves for that. (i'm doing this with acrylic nails hahaha)
Don't try to remove the fabric or foam from your headliner, you'll end up ruinin it. Vacuum it real good, that's all I'd suggest. Just spray glue both the headliner and the back of the fabric, let it get tacky and wrap the new fabric over the headliner. Follow Demon's write up, you won't go wrong.
Just lower it.
After my front body work is done, this will be my next step. I think it goes without saying that pictures will be required when you're done. :P

Clean well, grab a bristle type hair brush and give it a good scrub to knock loose any crud that might be hanging out then a damp cloth to wipe it down. Don't get the headliner wet really, if you do you will have to let it dry before starting. Spray both sides but don't saturate, let it tack up and do about a foot at a time. Work it well to make sure you get it even and above all, take your time. Takes about an hour to glue and press the headliner with a little bit of time with a razor to trip and cut openings for the ochit handles, visors and upper console/map lights. It's intimidating but rather easy... says the guy that had to redo it because of bad glue. LOL
DO NOT use headliner glue, it's crap and won't handle heat, not even in the wifes old Camaro and you know how small of a headliner that is.

WOW, that's an interesting MOD and ONE I would NOT try myself. Seen some when finished, like Darins, and they look GREAT though. I'd like to rewrap my back hatch panel; the guy before me on BLUE scratched it up pretty bad.
