Overhead console removal?

    Overhead console removal?

    Alright Guys. How do I remove the overhead console(map light, homelink, sunroof control area). Need access to power for detector. Thanks

    It's only held in by three push clips. Use a putty knife or somethin to get under the edges and gently pry it to start seperating the console from the headliner. From there, use your fingers and start to to pull downward until you get those pins to seperate. It's held in there really well so it'll take some effort to seperate em since it's the first time removin it. After this, it'll come out much easier next time. Once it's loose, there's a wire that you'll need to unplug and the console will be completely out.
    Just lower it.

    You'll need to be carefull unplugging this wire. It's a pain (atleast on mine). You need to unscrew the black lid to get it off, but after that, what was said above is all you need to do. here's a pic for reference and a link to my post when I had troubles getting the wire off.

    Just find that tab that snaps the plug into place and use a lil flat head to seperate it. I don't have a sun roof, but I'm sure it's the same type of plug. It's the same thing for the sun visors too.
    Just lower it.
