    I owe you an apology - I was out of line. I lost my job this past Monday and this car crapped out on me, so it's been a bad week so far. Sorry about my outburst.
    Anyway,
    I don't believe the car is going into limp mode since it's not throwing codes and has normal power levels - it just won't upshift. If I'm on the highway, the revs will suddenly jump to 4 - 5000 as it downshifts, and I don't even have to step on the gas, it just 'does it'. When cold, it's mostly OK, but as it warms up, this starts. I'm thinking it's a sensor or something. Because it works OK when cold, i'm tending to believe that it's OK mechanically.
    The dealership stays it needs a rebuild= $2600. That's BS.
