How to remove the center console

This is a simple writeup on how to remove the center console out of your Dodge Magnum. While this isn't a mod in itself, you may need to use this info to complete another mod, i.e. installing a stereo system.

1. Remove the center bezel but pulling towards you. Next you must remove the ash tray. A flathead or panel popper helps to get the ashtray out. It is held in by 2 clips.

2. Remove the 2 phillips head screws behind the ashtray.

3. Remove the 2 phillips head screws underneath the little mat above the shifter.

4. Open up the center arm rest/storage compartment. At the bottome you will need to remove the 3 bolts.

5. Disconnect any wiring harness and slowly remove the console.

Thats it.

Thanks, It is so simple but if you don't know where to start you can certainly tear some stuff up figuring it out. I got a couple ideas this helps a bunch.

DKelso is an unknown quantity at this point
How do you get the heater controls loose from the basel as you show and hoe did you get the lighter unhooked? I would just cut them if i didn't need them for a power port.

Thanks,
Race on,
Kelso

I belive you have little tabs on the side.. i did it once also.. I got the console loose in the front. next to the air controls and lift that end up to the roof. Reach under and you can feel the tabs..
