Filling in the gap between the hood
Today i was cleaning under the hood and noticed the dust built up on the plastic covers over the radiator. So i went through a box of misc. stuff and found an un-opened package of weather stripping. It was the perfect size needed for the job. Here's a few pics of what i did>>>
Applied a long strip along the fascia...


Another small strip on both sides of the hood where it covers the headlight...

And this is what it looks like with the hood closed...

This is the weatherseal (stripping) i used. I believe i got it from Pep Boys?



I will check it this week to see if it solved the problem.

Thats a wicked good idea! I never thought of that. I washed my car the other day for the first time in like 3 months unfortunately... And my entire engine was brown. Wont shit still get in through the grill though?

Yea but anything to slow down some of the dust should help a little.......I'm hoping? We'll see at the end of the week. I will keep you guys posted on any difference. Cheap mod for anybody to do.

Very nice Jay.
I too was getting annoyed by the dust and dirt.
I did the same but I put mine on the edge of the hood.
