Lighted Cup Holder

I did the LED Cup Holder Lights tonight only took an hour or so. I used the LEDs from Radio Shack, they were like $4 for the 2 I used. They had lenses and were ready to install. I used the thread on how to get your center consel out. Then I removed the cup holder and the rubber insert.
I cut a small hole big enough for the lights to slip through in the rubber and set so they were high enough for the lights to be above the hard plastic in the base. I wired the lights together so I only had 2 wires to hook up in the car.




I ran the wires throught the hole in the base.

And then resambled the cup holder

I taped the wires on the bottom of the cup holder.

Then I put blades on the wire ends.

I ran the wires to the cig. lighter plug

The finished product


They dont throw light all over the dash.

Having a hard time visualizing the finished product. Maybe a pic with some light to help get a idea of the big picture.

I know that a few people have done this but they have always used LEDs with out the lenses.
