How to remove the Front Fascia

Put down a blanket to keep from scratching up the fascia.
Tools that will be needed.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
This first step is not required but I like to get these things out of my way.
Remove the 2 radiator access covers...

These just pop right off. They are held in with 3 snap clip fasteners.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Next remove the 6 push pin fasteners at the top of the fascia....

You can use a flat blade screw driver......

Or you can use a pair of diagonal cutters once you lift them up enough....

I like to leave the 2 center ones in place until the fascia is ready to be removed....

Here's what the push pins look like.....

The next step is to remove the fender well fasteners.
Some of these will need to be replaced if my memory serves me right.
(Disregard the appearance of my top 3 fasteners. I replaced those with speednut type fasteners).
Turn your wheels in to make it easier to access the fasteners.

Here is a shot with the fasteners removed...

I replaced mine with these Speednut type Fasteners.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Next is to remove the Bumper/Fender bolt....

This is a 10mm socket...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Now remove the 10 belly pan screws on the under side of the fascia....
These are 7mm socket screws with washers...

Now you are ready to remove the last 2 fasteners at the top of the fascia...

Once those are out it's just a matter of a little tug on each side of the fascia...

If you have foglights, make sure not to pull too hard or too far.

If you have the foglight option just give them a 1/4 turn (counter clockwise)
and the bulb assembly will pop out.
Be careful not to knock them around too much.
Also I would suggest that you check them prior to reassembling the front end to make sure
that the filament did not break and that they light up.

Note: You can access the foglights for replacement by just removing the fender well fasteners
and reaching up inside. It's not necessary to have the fascia removed to get to them.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Final step is removing the fascia.
There is a styrofoam pad on the inside that just sits on the metal bumper support.

Here it is in all of it's glory.....
