Open the maps above to get a better idea.

I did an illegal U turn.

Pidgeon Hill is basically a shopping center in Sterling, VA. I wanted to get on Route 7. I was on Pidgeon Hill. If you look at the map there are two exits to get on to Countryside Blvd. I was closer to the south exit, which was the one I used. The North exit has a Traffic light, with a no u turn sign on Country Side. To legally get on Route 7 you need to use the North Pidgeon Hill exit and turn left at the light onto Countryside. Well I was in a hurry to get to work, and instead of pulling back into shopping center to make the left turn, I made the U turn at the Northern Pidgeon Hill exit at the light. As I completed the U turn I saw a County Sheriff car on Peyton Road. I’m sure he was just sitting waiting for someone to make a u-turn.

Does that make sense?

I have no points, and I’d like to keep it that way if at all possible.
