Album Pics

Ok so I've been trying now for the past couple days to upload pics into my album and each time it times out on me. I had the wife help me resize a pic but it also timed out when I tried uploading BUT when I went back I noticed that it actually DID upload, yeah confusing I know lol....

But anyway, the pic that did upload is not as clear as it was before the upload. What do I need to do, change the reso size in the camera before I take pics next time or what? I know someone out there can help a brotha out unless this is just user error lol.

Does the image look a little blurry now? This is due to a poor resampling when the image is resized. There are many ways to resize an image, but depending how much you reduce or enlarge it and what resampling method you use, you may not be happy with the results. I don't know what you or your wife used to resize the photos before you uploaded. Photoshop is what I am familiar with and have had very good results with the "Bicubic Sharper" resampling method, although, I would suspect that any "Bicubic" method would do you well. Confusing, I know... welcome to the world of imaging... cross your fingers you never get into printing!

Yeah were using PhotoShop and to be quite honest I have no clue how the f'in thing works lol

Download Irfanview, it is a good tool to have!

When you resize it how many pixals do you change it to?

...and you dont have any issues downloading to your album? Is'nt that to big??

Hey Karl.

The album downloader will automatically resize the picture for you.
I have already downloaded dozens of pics into my 2 albums.
I too have had the frustration of many timeouts but after doing some troubleshooting and experimenting I am under the suspicion that it is a server issue with the timing out.

What I did was, I tried uploading just one file instead of the maximum of 3 at a time.
Sometimes that worked and other times it didn't (with the same picture).
Other times I was able to upload the maximum (3) when at other times the system would not let me do it.

Have you tried waiting a bit and trying at a different time?
That's my 2 cents. I have been going through the same frustrations and issues.

Haven't had any problems yet....but I think when I uploaded to my album, it auto resized to 800x600. Would double check, but I'm on my phone right now. Are any of the pix rotated?
