I just want to share some info that others might not be aware of.
Some threads can get many response posts that can become a chore when trying to keep up to date with.
Hopefully some of these tips will make it easier.
There are 2 symbols that you can click on to bypass the previous response posts that you have already covered on a past visit.
The first one is this....
It is found at the beginning of the the thread name.
example:
Thread / Thread Starter
What's the calender link all about? (
1 2)
Magmania
Clicking on this will take you to the first unread post in the thread.
(Tip: Hover your mouse over these type symbols for a brief description)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The second one is this....
It is found in the "Last Post" column after the name of the person who made the post.
example:
Last Post
by Magmania
Clicking on this will take you directly to the last post in the thread.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
And finally... When you are done catching up on all of the posts of interest, click on the "Quick Links" pull down menu at the top right section of the page and select "Mark Forums Read".
example:
Quick Links
Today's Posts
Mark Forums Read <-------
Open Buddy List
User Control Panel
Edit Signature
Edit ProfileEdit Options
Miscellaneous
Private Messages
Subscribed Threads
My ProfileWho's Online
This will set up the 2 previous shortcuts (&
) for the next time that you log in to catch up on your threads of interest.
Hope this makes it easier to manage and keep up with all of the good info that is put up here on this forum.

That sounds like a handy time saver. Thanks for the info.

How does one go about making it a sticky?

Good write up Magmania!
Yes Bigal, that is another nice tip.
I tried the the other modes as well. It takes some getting used to.
The only thing that was kinda a sore point for me was the scrolling.
I use the wheel on my mouse to scroll so the page starts to scroll but then you hit the hybrid section of page and then that takes over scrolling.
It is a good option tho for those who like it.
