    Sad day..Adam Yauch (MCA) dies at 47. The Beastie Boys were always a favorite of mine. Sad to see he lost a hard battle with cancer. RIP.

    A sad loss for music. Him and his band was a true pioneer for rap music that crossed from the 80's to the 90's and well into the the 2000's.

    Yep. I just read this on MSN. I didn't even know he had cancer. This sucks, I love the Beastie Boys.

    I worked one of their concerts back stage, great group of guys lots of laughs jokes all around one of the best concerts i worked when you are at the most boring areas.

    Always loved their music loved the way they pushed the limits of what the genre was and were able to cross over into rock. He will be missed
