It's F'in Hot

I don't know where you are, but here in Santa Barbara, CA its hot. 85 degrees and the humidity feels like I am back in the South. I was up in Simi Valley today and it was around 102 degrees, but it was dry. I think I prefer the dry heat over the humidity. It's been like this for over a week and looks like we have another week before it cools down.

Is this global warming or what? I never remember it being this bad before. I've lived on the california coast for all of my life and this is the first time we actually need A/c in our house.

I live in the "desert" Of Colorado. Well..... it use to be known as that! It has been high 90's and the humidity is killing me! I could never live in the South. This is the time of year when Colorado is known for wildfires and dry heat. It has done nothing but rain all month! That means flashflooding. Some fantastic lighting storms too.

Saturday it was 115° at my house in Lake Elsinore, CA and we had what was described as a hurricane come through that ripped out several large trees on our street. We only had some minor damage to a couple of our trees and other stuff in the yard.
I went out Sunday morning at 6 to clean it up and I was soaked within a few minutes due to the humidity.

Its good to live on the East Coast for a change. We've been getting nice weather, staying in the 80's for the most part with rain pretty regularly. It all comes in cycles though, I'm sure in a few years, we'll be in a drought again and in the 100's for weeks at a time.

110 here in So Utah you'all.......

Yeah it's hot everywhere. Our niece in fullerton Ca called to say it was 111 a few days ago UNREAL for that area. Here in South Utah is almost normal at 104-110 ( normal about 98-102 ) so Al Gore must be right. Try to keep kool and watch over your kin folks and elderly neighbors. No humidity here, 3% maybe. Nice if your a CACTUS!!
