Question Hemi Exhaust Question / Miles Per Gallon

Hello, i'm new to the site and a new Magnum RT owner, my questions is the following:

I'm in undecided as to installing a Borla exhaust (www.borla.com ) and a cold air intake due to the Miles Per Gallon, would installing these two items decrease my MPG?

Any and all comments will greatly help.

Thanks

Hello from Pensacola -

Installing my CAI actually gave me a couple more MPG. My exhaust system seems to help on Highway driving but not in city. Now, I have the 2.7 and others will chime in with thoughts for sure.

My exhaust system, flash and CAI helped in power and MPG overall. I'm getting 32 MPG on the highway with 90k on the car.

Regards

Neither of those should decrease mileage, but it all depends on how you drive. When I added the intake and exhaust, my foot got a little heavier because of the nice roar the Hemi makes with the combo. So i probably lost some MPG.

^^^ I agree. Installed Magnaflow cat back system with an intake and ram air and I am now down to 11.8 MPG. I deleted my resonator and love to floor it all the time because of it. However, it will give you better flow and I have actually seen MPG stay somewhat the same at my local dealership that does custom work on the RT. I would also recommend Borla which is what I wanted but due to college books and tuition, I settled for the Magnaflow. You cant go wrong with the deep sound itll make
