performance lag

Hey guys!..three weeks with the new mag...and I love it!..i got the stx 3.5L

performance upgraades are air raid intake..and magnaflow..when i go from park to drve there is a lag b4 it will go or engage..same with drie to reverse...literally a econd or two pause..anyne elsse expieriencing this?

also what are the gear ratios on the stx's?

I believe the rear gear ratio is 2.87 and car & driver results are listed below for each gear.

I have always had the lag but have read that the dealer can adjust this through the flash if it is too much. Might be worth checking out.

Results for 3.5 ltr SXT

0 to 60 in 7.5 seconds (Car and Driver test result)
-- First 3.59:1

-- Second 2.19:1
-- Third 1.41:1
-- Fourth 1:1
-- Fifth 0.83:1

Also, as FYI - there has been a few to change the gearing in the 3.5's and most have gone back to the original setup due to issues they started having. Changing the gearing requires some in depth work. I thought of doing it myself until I studied up on the change over and decided it's not worth the trouble at the moment.

took the mag to the dealer..the did what the call a quick learn to the flash..after drving they claimed it performs as a typical mgnum..as i pulled out of the dealer I spun wheels (wheel) i dont think its posi is it?..and thought to myself maybe it is improved..

next up stage II performance chip..gonna chekc out our forum now!!

chwilson is an unknown quantity at this point
I took mine in because of the lag and it shifts hard too. They told me it was within specs. They should re-think their specs.
